Megaria Halim, D.M.A., M.Mus., B.A. (Hons.)

Before moving to Canada to pursue her graduate studies, Megaria established her own private piano studio and also served as a lecturer at her alma mater, Lasalle College of the Arts. Alongside teaching, she was an active collaborative pianist, providing accompaniment for students preparing for graded examinations and performances. She also worked as a ballet accompanist, gaining valuable experience in a wide range of musical and performance settings.

In Canada, Megaria has continued to expand her work as a performer, educator, and collaborator. She has been invited to give masterclasses to students in the Piano Department at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), sharing her experience and insights with aspiring pianists. She has also worked closely with students from both the University of Western Ontario (UWO) and UPEI as a collaborative pianist.

With years of experience teaching students of varying ages and levels, as well as working across diverse musical environments, Megaria brings a versatile and holistic approach to music education. As the founder of Mega Piano Studio, she is passionate about helping each student develop their musical abilities, confidence, and appreciation for music. She looks forward to guiding aspiring music-makers as they discover and pursue their own musical journeys.
